Lukas Kampa

Sports Psychologist

Since 2006 Lukas is playing as a Professional Volleyball Player in the European Top-Leagues. Currently he plays for Trefl Gdansk. Since 2008 Lukas is Part of the German National Team and since 2016 he is leading the team on the field as its Captain. His biggest successes so far were the participation in the Olympic Games in London 2012, the bronze medal at the World Championship 2014 with the personal award “Best Setter of the Tournament” and the silver medal at the European Championship 2017.

Already early in his career Lukas became interested in the influence of mental processes on performance in sports. The permanent work with sports psychologists became soon a regular component of his daily practice. As a setter in volleyball he was also very interested in the successful functioning of the team as a unit.

This is why Lukas decided to study Psychology in parallel to his sports career and to extend his practical experience with theoretical knowledge.

In the past years he experienced the application of the loups® teamdiagnosis in practice as a player and decided to engage in the further development of the method.
