WHAT IS LOUPS®?

loups® is based on the scientifically researched iGPM® method for professional team sports. It has been further developed for interactive teams in companies and organizations. iGPM stands for (interactive group performance model). With the iGPM® method, the complete planning cycle of a team is taken into account. Team coaching is based, among other things, on regular team diagnostics.

TEAM DYNAMICS THAT EMPOWER

The entire team as a unit is the focus of the loups® team diagnosis. The secret of successful team performance is: understanding and using team dynamics! Individual competence, willingness to perform. The personality of each individual permanently interacts with those of other team members. Teams are automatically in motion. A constantly adapted interaction paves the way to overall success, brings motivating, satisfaction and stability.

HOW IT WORKS...

LOUPS® TEAM DIAGNOSIS

The current values of the group characteristics, the so-called group dynamic factors, are determined regularly at coordinated times in the course of the planning cycle. Questionnaires are used as survey methods, which can be answered individually and conveniently on a smartphone, tablet, etc. in a short time.   The supervising mental trainer, sports psychologist or team coach can interpret the results in combination with his observations and discussions on site as well as with past and upcoming events for the team. Possible interventions can be derived from the current values and the course of the values of the factors. The entire method relies on the cooperation of all group members involved for the common benefit of the team, while preserving the confidentiality of the individual interviews. It relies on sustainable development and the long-term success of teams and should ideally be implemented as a structural item in the organization.

THE LOUPS® DIAGNOSTIC PORTAL

For the efficient practical implementation of team diagnosis, we have developed a digital portal for mental trainers, sports psychologists and team coaches, where they can manage their teams, control team diagnosis surveys and automatically evaluate them. The results can be customized for further use. With several measurements over time, the development of the group dynamic factors can be shown graphically and additionally explained. Team reports can be exported by the user as a PDF file with a single click.

SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND:

The loups® team diagnosis was designed by Heinz Wübbena within the scope of a theory-based external research project, and validated using a case study of Bundesliga handball. Additional work was initially focused on developing and validating the questionnaire, and subsequently on quantitative studies to test the falsification of the iGP² model’s hypotheses, as well as building up reference databases.

For this purpose, a joint venture was set up with the Institut für Sportwissenschaft (Institute for Sports Science) at Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg. Prof. Dr. Andreas Lau is providing the project’s scientific leadership.
